If it is related to the stage in any way, Jaime Burcham has tried it at least once. Beginning his career as a dancer, Jaime has been studying ballet and jazz since age five. His earlier training included the Davidson Fine Arts School, Ron Jones School of Ballet and since 1989, the Augusta Ballet with Ron and Zanne Colton. Since he became an Augusta Ballet company member, Jaime has performed such featured roles as Porthos in "The Three Musketeers," Tybalt in "Romeo and Juliet," and Renfield in "Dracula." Jaime is also a working actor in Atlanta, having performed in "Night of the Iguana" and numerous other shows with Theatre in the Square in Marietta, GA and other venues around the Southeast. Since 1998, Jaime has been pursuing work as a choreographer and stage director for arts organizations throughout the Southeast. His choreographic credits include pieces for both The Augusta Ballet´s apprentice company and Lakeland Ballet in Florida as well as shows such as "1940´s Radio Hour" and "Barnum" at Theatre in the Square and other Atlanta theatres. Jaime was chose as assistant choreographer for the Southeastern Theatre Conference 1999 in Norfolk, VA. He returns to The Augusta Ballet for another season after directing this year´s Echota Theatre and Arts Festival in the mountains of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA.
