Lance began his study of ballet under Jose Mateo at The Ballet Theatre School of Boston. He continued his studies in New York at The School of American Ballet. He has danced with American Ballet Theatre, Pennsylvania Ballet, Santa Fe Opera, Chatauqua Ballet and The North Carolina Dance Theatre. Lance danced with The Augusta Ballet for the first time in "Carmen." He has danced in "Dracula," premiered the role of Athos in "The Three Musketeers," and performed in several pieces for the "Wynton Encore 1998." He has appeared as the Cavalier in "The Nutcracker," Mercutio in "Romeo and Juliet," Beauty´s Father in "Beauty and the Beast," and last season as the Wolf in "Peter and the Wolf." Lance is engaged to Susan Ashton and they will wed in May 2001.
